Hey folks! I’m Ray McCaffrey, Executive Producer from Steel Wool Studios, and I speak for our entire team when I say that we’re thrilled to finally give y’all a sneak preview of what to expect in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2! We will cover the overarching gameplay details, touching on what makes this game different from its predecessor, and the unique PS VR2 features we’re leveraging to plunge players into the world of FNAF in an entirely new way!
In Help Wanted 2 there are six categories of minigames – Backstage, Fazcade, Staff Only, Food Prep, Ticket Booth, and a special category containing new VR versions of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location gameplay.
Ensuring that Help Wanted 2 would be fun on every single replay was our primary goal. We developed many of the games so they’d be different each time you played, and we accomplished this by building an extraordinary amount of possibilities the player can be presented with. Between taking customer orders, doing arts and crafts, or helping out the maintenance staff, (and plenty of other games), the player is faced with new requirements each time, keeping the challenge fresh and fun. That said, more than a few of the games have the spirit of the original Help Wanted and take players through the more curated experiences we love crafting.
Go Backstage as a VIP with Roxanne Wolf in the Pizzaplex Salon! She loves being up close and personal with those who adore her almost as much as she loves terrorizing those who ruin her good looks. Being fashion-forward, she has a menacing menagerie of makeup and accessories to choose from for a new style every time! She’s not the most patient of the band though, so while you’re glamming her up you’ll want to get it perfect every single time.
Head into the Fazcade and enjoy classic games like Bonk-a-Bon and Fazerblast! You’ll need some precision and quick reflexes to get the high scores! If you’re a crack shot with lightning-fast reflexes, you may even live long enough to see them!
Staff our safety and security team to perform basic first aid for guests who aren’t feeling quite like themselves. Whether it’s a small patch up, or curing rabies, you’ve gotta have it covered! Fazbear Entertainment doesn’t have the necessary license to stock any sedatives, so be as delicate as possible when sawing off limbs because a patient’s screams will draw unwanted attention.
Hop over the counter at El Chips and get the federally mandated amount of value preparing food in the Pizzaplex! While it’s hard not to question what the nacho cheese is made of, it’s even harder to keep up with the near-endless combinations of possible orders during the dinner rush. Remember, the S.T.A.F.F. bots serving orders do not need to sleep, eat, or stop, ever – so don’t get distracted wondering why you’re the only human employee left…
Head over to the Ticket Booth and catch a ride on Captain Foxy’s Cowboy Adventure! On this lighthearted log ride, you’ll float through the old West as a gunslinger in search of booty! In the event of a breakdown, please remain calm while the staff finds your location. You may have inadvertently drifted off course!
If you’re short on dread, dive into the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location! Between keeping Funtime Freddy busy while repairing electrical breakers or surviving a classic security office game until 6 AM, this fan-favorite brought to life is as fun as it is terrifying! It’s an experience littered with custom VR gameplay!
The unique features of the PSVR 2 headset has enabled us to create a more engaging horror experience through controller haptics, 3D audio, and so much more. The rumble within the headset has been hooked up to our most terrifying moments, adding a level of physicality to jumpscares not previously possible.
Lastly, thanks to the PSVR 2’s eye tracking system, players will have their mind read by the fortune teller, Mystic Hippo! A minigame has been built exclusively for the Playstation 5 where players can challenge her ancient powers of perception! Pick a card, any card, and she’ll peer through you to guess what it is. If you’re also attuned with the supernatural you can try to fool her, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. She will also guide you through everything Help Wanted 2 has to offer.
And that’s that. Thanks so much for taking the time to read all of this. You’ll be able to get your hands on the dozens of minigames in Help Wanted 2 on December 14, 2023.
In just over a week since the global release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, the multiplayer experience has showcased an immersive gameplay environment distinguished by its signature fast and responsive movement mechanics, along with tactical enhancements and a refined TTK, urging PlayStation players to navigate fluid and strategic combat scenarios.
Sledgehammer Games has comprehensively revamped the movement, but that’s not the only highlight this year. In addition to several other new and returning features, Map Voting makes a return in Modern Warfare III. Based on the results of map voting during this first week of play, we get some insight into PlayStation players’ map preferences so far – – Rust secures the top spot, Terminal as the runner up, and Scrapyard in third place. The popularity of these maps is evident, and whether players are familiar with them or encountering them for the first time we have some insider details and tips below to help you master these top-voted maps.
Rust
The iconic desert arena situated in the oilfields of the Urzikstan desert, makes a triumphant return in Modern Warfare III. This small, square map is characterized by its dominating central Tower, allowing PlayStation players to engage in fast-paced 1v1 battles and strategic skirmishes on the ground.
We caught up with Matt Abbott, art director at Sledgehammer Games who gave us some insight into the strategy of modernizing Rust for Modern Warfare III:
“The idea of modernizing the look of a map like Rust, at first, seems like a bit of an oxymoron. How does an abandoned rusty industrial setting look when it’s modernized? With that in mind, we sought to find some convincing modern locations that provided the answers we needed to evolve Rust with the goal of balancing the aesthetic enhancements of our engine with the modern traversal of MWIII.
“We chose a larger modern shape language and a simpler palette harmony in the materials. Because of this, we were able to clean up some of the complex visual frequencies of the original map. By modernizing the style, it gave us some levers to pull to reduce the contrast of materials, edit visual clutter, and highlight traversal messaging that wasn’t available in the original. We are huge fans of Rust and the legacy it has as a stage to prove who the best of the best is. Because of that, we wanted this version of Rust to “shine” in ways that would be noticed by newcomers and hardcore competitive players alike.”
Winning Tip: A good tip for Rust would be to always keep an eye on the Tower in the middle of the map. With its various access points, it becomes a focal point for conflict and a good grenade can be a game-changer, helping take down enemies nested in the Tower. Estimate your opponent’s location, deploy your grenade strategically and be prepared for a potential clean-up if your enemy survives the blast.
Terminal
Terminal welcomes you to Zakhaev International Airport. This classic medium-sized map in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare universe offers diverse opportunities for gameplay, allowing PlayStation players to choose between the Terminal and the Apron, accommodating various playstyles and strategies.
Our conversation with Matt Abbott also provided valuable insights into the approach taken to modernize Terminal for Modern Warfare III:
“Making Terminal feel like a modern functioning international airport was the goal behind how we could evolve the looks of this fan-favorite map. It started with the architecture of the outside. We wanted to introduce curved shapes into the roofline while maintaining the killstreak windows from the original. The choices became clearer from there when it came to how this airport would look on the inside. We wanted the map to be colorful yet constrained for player messaging. The art, furniture, paint color, and surfaces were all chosen for the same purpose; to give the map a modern facelift and help the player know where they were at first glance.
“There were a lot of opportunities in this map to introduce materials that would highlight our newest rendering features such as glass, chrome trim, LED emissive lighting, and reflective tiles. All of these things contribute to a clean modern aesthetic that balances that realistic look with competitive gameplay.”
Winning Tip: We also had the pleasure to hear from Greg Reisdorf, Multiplayer Director for Modern Warfare III to give us a good tip for players when they drop into Terminal:
“The Guardian Killstreak works great on Terminal Domination or Hardpoint. Use it near the bookstore hallway to lock down the lane and control the flow of the map.”
Scrapyard
This battlefield is set in an aircraft boneyard surrounded by buildings, creating an intense environment where players can strategically navigate through intense CQC in the fuselages and engage in sniper battles between two main warehouses.
To round out the convo on these top three maps, Matt Abbott sheds some light on the strategic decisions involved in bringing Scrapyard into the modern era for Modern Warfare III.
“The original Scrapyard gave us a fantastic jumping-off point for highlighting some of our newest rendering techniques that we felt would show off how far the tech has come. A low sun, colorful sky, and reflected light shadows are usually challenging for player visibility in Multiplayer maps. For Scrapyard, we leaned heavily into real-world physical lighting to provide enough bounce to make the map look dramatic and at the same time emphasize player visibility. Usually, those two things do not go hand in hand, but we were able to find that harmony thanks to our constantly evolving rendering tech.
“A late change we did to the map which harmonizes well with these goals is that we made the material on the fuselage highly reflective. This acted as a mirror to the skybox which brought a lot of the color and drama in the sky into the natural tones of the abandoned scrapyard. Is it realistic that the abandoned plane fuselages would be this shiny? Maybe not. Does it look really cool? We thought so.”
Winning Tip: Gathering insights from Greg Reisdorf, multiplayer director for Modern Warfare III, we sought out a useful tip for players in Scrapyard:
“For Scrapyard, I’m all about the Climbing Boots to get onto to tops of the planes. Mantle onto the delivery truck near Domination Point B, then jump over to the plane roof to catch a few players off guard before jumping down into safety.”
With the positivity from the Call of Duty community for Modern Warfare III Multiplayer since its launch on November 10, the resurgence of beloved maps such as Rust, Terminal, and Scrapyard has been a huge reason for that. Be sure to jump into MWIII today to play these three maps, plus the other thirteen core 6v6 maps Sledgehammer Games has completely modernized from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). Those maps plus new maps arriving in Season 1 promise to provide hours upon hours of intense and fun MP action.
The team here at Naughty Dog is excited to announce The Last of Us Part II Remastered, the definitive way to experience the acclaimed The Last of Us sequel originally released in 2020. We’re thrilled to confirm you won’t have to wait long for it either; players can jump into Ellie and Abby’s emotional journeys on the PlayStation 5 console on January 19, 2024.
Whether you’ve already played and even platinumed The Last of Us Part II on the PlayStation 4 console or have recently jumped into The Last of Us Part I on PS5 and want to continue the story, Part II Remastered will offer plenty of reasons for new and returning players to revisit a story that means so much to our studio. The engrossing campaign returns alongside technological improvements, new modes, and new behind-the-scenes features that will deepen your understanding of Part II’s creation. But before we break down what’s in store, take a look at our announcement trailer below.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is designed to let you dig deeper into both its development and mechanics. Chief among these is a brand-new mode called No Return, a roguelike survival mode designed to let players prove their mettle in randomized encounters and experience The Last of Us Part II’s combat in a fresh experience.
The mode includes a host of playable characters to choose from – some playable for the first time in The Last of Us franchise (which you may have spotted in our trailer) – who each come with their own traits to suit different playstyles. Players will chart their own course on each run, choosing between various stealth and combat encounters that will pit you against a range of enemies, with unique twists that can add new, unexpected factors to any given encounter.
Each run will offer a new chance to decide what rewards you get after each encounter, how you spec out your character, and more. Unlock more characters, skins, and more as you progress to use in the mode, customize your own runs, and compete on a global leaderboard as part of a Daily Run2. We’re excited to share more about No Return as we get closer to launch.
For those who have already played The Last of Us Part II, we know the included sections featuring a playable guitar were a favorite for many, and you burgeoning rockstars impressed us with your performances. So we’ve introduced a new Guitar Free Play mode, which will let you strum the strings across a host of unlockable instruments, use audio FX pedals to modulate your performance, and play as different characters in several in-game locations to customize the mood and feel of your set.
And for both new and returning players interested in learning more, we’ve designed Part II Remastered to offer a comprehensive dive behind-the-scenes of how our studio brought this game to life. A new set of Lost Levels in Part II Remastered allow players a unique chance to check out some playable sequences previously cut from the game. These aren’t fully finished levels, but rather early-development slices that not only let you see some new glimpses of Part II’s world, but also include embedded developer commentary to give them richer context. Explore these spaces and hear directly from the team about the intention of aspects of each level – this is a unique inclusion for our studio and we’re excited to allow players a glimpse into the creative process.
We’ve also included newly recorded director’s commentary across the campaign’s cutscenes from director Neil Druckmann, narrative lead Halley Gross, and actors Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson, and Laura Bailey. They assembled to offer insight into the story and its characters that mean so much to both our team and our fans, and we’re delighted to give fans even more understanding of the team’s approach to this story.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered will feature enhanced graphics, including native 4K output1 in Fidelity Mode, 1440p upscaled to 4K1 in Performance Mode, an Unlocked Framerate option for TVs that support VRR, increased texture resolution, increased Level-of-Detail distances, improved shadow quality, animation sampling rate, and more. It all brings the world of Part II’s story to life in richer and smoother detail, from the snow-swept mountains of Jackson, Wyoming to the rainy cityscape of Seattle, Washington, and should make a first visit or a return trip to the complex journeys of Ellie and Abby all the more engrossing.
Part II Remastered takes advantage of the PS5’s power and features in more ways as well, including improved loading times. Part II Remastered also incorporates DualSense wireless controller haptic feedback and adaptive triggers integration to better immerse you in every moment of combat and exploration.
We’ve ensured Part II’s award-winning suite of accessibility options returns for the PS5 experience, alongside new additions like the inclusion of Descriptive Audio and Speech to Vibrations, which uses the DualSense controller to indicate character speech and cadence. The unlockable Speedrun Mode, included in The Last of Us Part I, will also be coming to Part II Remastered, allowing players to post their best times. Following The Last of Us Part I, The Last of Us Part II Remastered includes the ability to unlock bonus skins for Ellie, Abby, and their weapons that we’re excited for players to see and take some incredible Photo Mode shots with. You can get a first look at some in our announcement trailer. And speaking of Photo Mode, we’ve made some additions that players of The Last of Us Part I may be familiar with, including dynamic lighting, Frame Forward, and Gaze Direction, as well as new frame and logo options.
We’re so excited to natively bring The Last of Us Part II to the PlayStation 5 as the definitive way to experience the sequel and everything it has to offer, while also offering fans new and returning deeper levels of appreciation for the work that went into it. Pre-orders will be available beginning December 5, both for the standard edition, as well as The Last of Us Part II Remastered W.L.F. Edition, which will be exclusively available direct from PlayStation in select markets (United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Benelux, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Austria). It includes a SteelBook® display case, four enamel pins, a Washington Liberation Front Patch, and a total of 47 Society of Champions trading cards, including eight holographic cards. These were a favorite of Part II players to collect in-game, and we’re so happy we could bring these to life. Check it out below:

For just short of a year, Guerrilla has been working with the team over at Steamforged Games to bring you a fully cooperative, narrative-driven tabletop experience set in the world of Horizon.
Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion is launching on Kickstarter on November 21, and today, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at what this adventure will hold for players. Taking our learnings and feedback from Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game, Guerrilla and Steamforged Games have worked closely together to elevate what a Horizon board game experience can be.
Guerrilla’s Senior Copy & Game Writer, Emil Cholich, sets the scene: “Seeds of Rebellion is set about six months before Regalla’s attack on the Embassy in Horizon Forbidden West. The story puts you and your friends in the boots of newly minted Marshals tasked by Hekarro to investigate troubling reports of unrest among the Tenakth. This quest will take players across Red Blight-ridden Clan Lands, pit them against colossal machines, and allow them to uncover Regalla’s Rebellion in its earlier days, a period players have yet to explore.”
“By the time Aloy arrives in the Forbidden West, Regalla’s rebels have established many strongholds across the Clan Lands. Seeds of Rebellions offers not only an insight into the formative days of this rebellion, but also the vengeful, hotheaded, or sometimes misguided young Tenakth that feel drawn to it.”
This board game was created to be a deeper, more enriching experience for Horizon fans than its Zero Dawn predecessor. Players will have to work together to discover the truth and save many Tenakth lives in the process. “Seeds of Rebellion is a fully cooperative campaign game divided into 13 chapters. Each of which is split into two main gameplay sections – narrative and combat,” says Steamforged’s Product Owner Fraser McFetridge.
“During the narrative sections, players will experience the game’s story via choose-your-own-adventure text entries. As they do, they will make decisions regarding which NPCs to speak to, how they’ll trade their hard-won resources, and face all manner of challenges beyond the already thrilling combat. What’s most exciting is that the players’ decisions influence upcoming combat encounters, where they will place their unique miniatures onto encounter maps to take on enemy miniatures in a more zoomed-in setting.”
Let’s dive deeper into machine combat, something Horizon fans will know a lot about, in Seeds of Rebellion. “We’ve designed the narrative of Seeds of Rebellion in such a way that players could come across machines in a number of ways, depending on how they decide to explore,” shares Fraser. “Things like sneaking through cover to ambush a Clawstrider; finding a way to trap a Tremortusk, so you can escape its devastating weaponry; or avoiding a charging Bristleback while it tramples anything in its path. Then, of course, there is the classic fight-to-the-death against a coiled Slitherfang.”
Taking the intricate machines from the world of Horizon and creating them in miniature form is no easy feat. Steamforged tackled this head-on. “Of course, we can’t ignore the Tremortusk in the room: the miniatures, which are highly detailed, mini representations of the machines fans know and love. Our sculpting team have forever imprinted the phrase ‘most complex miniatures we’ve ever created’ into my brain,” says Fraser. “I’d go so far as to describe Forbidden West’s machines as ‘perfect’ for tabletop translation, given the careful precision they’re designed with, combining form and function. I’m told some of the sculpting references we received from Guerrilla were over a billion polys. I’m not a sculptor myself, but I’m assured that means they’re extremely detailed!”
It’s not just the machines that are important to translate well into board game form. “We’ve been working closely with Guerrilla to integrate memorable in-game locations and characters into the encounter maps and narrative,” shared Fraser. “We’ve also taken great care in our game design to authentically recreate the experience of playing and exploring the Forbidden West. From stealthing your way through tall grass to precisely targeting a machine’s components, weakening its attacks, and collecting its valuable scrap.”
Enhancing the woven story has always been at the forefront of all Horizon experiences. “This is inherently a story of unity and teamwork,” says Emil. “The player characters must work together to overcome increasingly slim odds against deadly machine and human threats. The co-op gameplay style and narrative engine developed by Steamforged gave us the room to bring the compelling characters Horizon’s world is known for to the tabletop.”
For those who also supported the Horizon Zero Dawn board game, Steamforged has good news. “Compatibility with the Horizon Zero Dawn board game is particularly important to us. That said, we are keeping details on this close to our chest (I am sure you’ll understand our desire to avoid too many spoilers),” says Fraser. “What we can confirm right now is there’ll be a backward compatibility pack, available at no extra cost for returning backers who pledged for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game, which will let you take your Zero Dawn miniatures straight into the already-challenging lands of the Forbidden West.”
Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion will be available to back on Kickstarter from November 21, and you can already sign up to be notified on launch here.
Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion will be available in English language only.
Suit up, Task Force X. On February 2, our band of misfits will dive headfirst into Metropolis in Rocksteady Studios’ most ambitious game yet – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
At Rocksteady, storytelling and character depth are core to our games. With Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, we wanted to explore the world we started in the Batman: Arkham series, but now through the villains’ eyes, combined with chaotic, action-packed combat and traversal gameplay, which truly comes to life on PlayStation 5.
Over the next few months, we’ll be giving you a deeper look into the game with our new Suicide Squad Insider video series. In the first episode, you’ll hear from several members of the Rocksteady team discussing the original story, dynamic open-world, fast-paced gameplay, and more.
At the heart of our game is an impossible mission: taking down the Justice League… and how the Suicide Squad reacts when given this do-or-die directive. But even when completing Amanda Waller’s most demanding objectives, you’ll be able to stay right on track with PlayStation 5’s activity cards.
Our story takes place in a besieged Metropolis, under the ever-present gaze of Brainiac’s Skull Ship. The expansive city of tomorrow is more than twice the size of Gotham in Batman: Arkham Knight and is full of missions, patrolling enemies, and secrets to discover as you progress through the campaign. Most importantly, we designed Metropolis to be a playground for your traversal abilities. We’ve utilized PlayStation 5’s SSD optimization to really push the boundaries of freedom when it comes to traversing around the city, so just getting around the environment is fast and intuitive.
With the deck stacked this heavily against them, the Squad is going to have to gear up. Which, of course, means stealing everything that isn’t nailed to the floor. By making use of iconic DC tools and gadgets, our DC Super-Villains can move around the city at pace and bring the fight to Brainiac.
Harley Quinn empowers her natural acrobatic prowess with Batman’s Grapnel Gun, which can be used on nearby rooftops to get vertical quickly. By grappling to the Bat Drone, the mistress of mayhem can swing in great looping arcs across the city. Once you master her traversal, you’ll see why she’s no one’s sidekick anymore.
Deadshot has Gizmo’s jetpack to soar through Metropolis in style. This offers an unparalleled degree of precision to the master assassin, and with the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers, we made sure you can feel every perfect shot.
Captain Boomerang has swiped a prototype Speed Force Gauntlet developed by Doctor Sivana, and he can use his boomerang to focus its abilities. Feel the raw power of slightly bent sticks with the DualSense controller’s dynamic haptic feedback as you remind Brainiac’s forces why you’re Australia’s premier marksman.
For such a sophisticated being, King Shark has a remarkably direct approach to traversal. Nanaue unleashes his demigod strength to barrel through hordes of enemies, leap great distances, and come crashing to the ground in a wave of destruction. Hear every desperate cry for help, every sidewalk smashed to smithereens, and every alien being turned into chum with PlayStation 5’s 3D Audio as King Shark leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.
All of these traversal abilities were designed from the ground up to feel good both moving around Metropolis and in combat. Whether raining down a hailstorm of grenades while swinging from the Bat Drone, blasting your shotgun between Speed Force dashes, or taking out enemies while jetpacking through the skies, the gameplay always feels fluid, chaotic, and downright villainous.
In future Suicide Squad Insider episodes, we’ll give you a closer look at the frantic gameplay and combat in the game, along with the customization and upgrading you’ll need to stand a chance against the Justice League.
Don’t forget, you can pre-order the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Standardor Deluxe Editionsnow on PlayStation 5 and receive four classic-themed Suicide Squad outfits, one for each Squad member. If you pre-order the digital version on PlayStation 5, you’ll also receive four Rogue outfits. And if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you can jump into the action on January 30 with 72-hour early access before the main release on February 2.

Klonoa is a 3D side-scrolling action game series whose first title was released by Namco in 1997 on PS1. Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series commemorates the 25th anniversary of the first title in the series with this combined remaster of both Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (PS1) and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil (PS2).
