The rumours were true! LEGO has today unveiled its first The Legend of Zelda set, ‘Great Deku Tree 2-in-1,’ and pre-orders are now open.

Listed at £259.99 / $299.99, the Deku Tree set contains 2,500 pieces for you to build the iconic Hylian landmark in two different ways – one modelled on its Ocarina of Time appearance and one on Breath of the Wild.

‘Summer Nights’ Is Bringing A Seasonal Splatfest And Free Gear To Splatoon 3

Nintendo has today announced that the ‘Summer Nights’ Splatoon 3 event will be coming to the Splatlands as a part of Sizzle Season 2024.

If you remember ‘FrostyFest,’ ‘Splatoween‘ or ‘SpringFest,’ then you probably know the drill here too. Splatsville and Inkopolis will be “soaked in summery vibes” as the event kicks off a seasonal Splatfest (the theme of which is TBA) and some free Headgear items will be thrown in too.

Nintendo Celebrates Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door With A Free Paper Airplane

To celebrate the launch of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door on the Switch last week, Nintendo called on “the paper airplane guy”, expert and former world record holder John Collins to teach fans of Mario how to make a paper plane.

All you have to do is download and print out the free paper airplane template and then follow John’s steps above to create the ultimate glider.

Zelda 64 Recompiled: Majora’s Mask Gets An Exciting New Update (Version 1.1.0)

A new camera option and “many other new features”.

If you haven’t already seen it, N64: Recompiled is revolutionising the Nintendo 64 emulation scene and native PC ports.

Wiseguy, the creator of this project, is already rolling out updates for Zelda 64: Recompiled, and the latest version (1.1.0) has now arrived – adding a new (dual) analog “free camera”, improved motion blur at higher frame rates, and multiple other features and fixes to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

Dragon Quest XII: The Flames Of Fate Minor Development Update Shared

Square Enix is currently celebrating ‘Dragon Quest Day’ and while there’s been an update on Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, there’s been no announcements related to the next major entry in the series Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.

Exclusive: Meet The Three Brothers Making Their Dream ‘Secret Of Mana’-Inspired RPG

“We want to make one of the most accessible and playable RPGs of all time”.

Couch co-op and JRPG are two genres you don’t often see together. Secret of Mana is one of the earliest examples of the genre, with most of the Tales of series also allowing fans to play together while sitting side-by-side. But outside of those examples, playing JRPGs with your friends in the same room isn’t a common experience.

Fortunately, Timesea Studio — made up of three brothers — is changing that. Nintendo Life can exclusively reveal that the developer’s first game, Infinity Knights: Xross, is coming to Switch (and other platforms) in late 2025.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Tease Confirms Platforms And Nothing Else

Yes, it’s coming to Switch.

News regarding the upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake has been rather thin on the ground, but judging from a short tease posted on X to mark ‘Dragon Quest Day’, it looks like we’ll be getting a lot more information very soon.

There’s not much to go on from the tease, as it showcases a very short animation of the franchise’s Mark of Erdrick, captioned with the short phrase “The legend of Erdrick draws near”. Crucially, however, we do get confirmation that the game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch in addition to Steam, Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
