Surreal Point-And-Click Game ‘Garage: Bad Dream Adventure’ Gets Switch Release

And it’s out today.

If you happen to recall the bizarre 1999 point-and-click title Garage: Bad Dream Adventure, then you’re in for a treat. If you don’t, then… well… you’re still in for a treat because it looks wild.

It launches on the Switch eShop today for £16.99 / $24.99, so by the time you’re reading this, you might be able to purchase and download it. For the uninitiated, Garage originated in Japan from developer Kinotrope and was released for Windows and Mac. It’s since been ported to Android and iOS, but we’re honestly thrilled to see it on Switch.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Reaches Peak Hype In Launch Trailer

Ahead of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance’s launch on 14th June 2024, Atlus has revealed the epic launch trailer, likely giving fans one last look at the game before release.

It’s arguably a bit spoiler-heavy for some, so you’ll have to judge whether you want to check it out. Regardless, if you weren’t already hyped for the upcoming release, the launch trailer will almost certainly push you over the edge.

Two Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Squishmallows Are “Coming Soon”

It appears to be Fuecoco and Bellibolt.

The Pokémon Squishmallows line continues to grow with two more plush seemingly joining the collection in the future.

According to an official post, these two Squishmallows (which appear to be Fuecoco and Bellibolt), will be “coming soon”. There’s also a proper sneak peek on the way of these Scarlet and Violet-generation Pokémon.

Feature: “Only Pokémon Can Make Pokémon” – Dicefolk Devs On Finding A Voice In A Crowded Genre

“You never know when the Pokémon inspiration will strike!”.

In recent years, we have seen an increasing number of roguelikes on Switch. In even more recent years, we have seen the same happen for ‘Pokémon-likes’. Naturally, each genre has its respective highs and lows, but rarely have we seen both of them joined by the same game. That is, until we saw Dicefolk.

Dicefolk is a tactical roguelike. It’s also a monster catcher. It’s also a dice game. It’s a confusing combination of genres that seem disparate on paper but click in practice. The game launched on Steam earlier this year and quickly started racking up positive reviews. So, when developers LEAP Game Studios (Tunche) and Tiny Ghoul announced that the monster-based mashup would be rolling the dice on Switch on 20th June, our interests were quickly piqued.

Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is just around the corner, offering the ‘definitive’ experience of the fifth mainline game with two major campaigns and a host of quality-of-life upgrades.

Our own review isn’t too far off, but if you’re interested in what the folks over at Famitsu think of it, then you’re in luck. Thanks to Ryokutya2089 and Gematsu, we can confirm that the first official review for Vengeance has scored the game an impressive 36/40, split 9/9/9/9 across four reviewers as usual.

Suda51 Unsure If Travis Touchdown Will Return, Admits It’s Not His “Call To Make”

“Of course I’d love to see him again”.

Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda has previously mentioned how Travis Touchdown from the No More Heroes series could potentially return one day, but in his latest interview, he’s not so sure about it.

Speaking to our friends at Eurogamer during ‘MomoCon 2024’ last month, Suda51 noted how the rights of the series are still obviously with Marvelous (rather than his studio Grasshopper Manufacture, who joined NetEase in 2021), so in case you weren’t already aware of it – it’s no longer his call to make:

We know what you’re thinking: “Gosh, another Metroidvania?”, and yeah, we get it. But look, this one looks pretty cool and we’re admittedly enamoured with the idea of a more ‘cosy’ Metroidvania that also allows us to unleash our inner chef. Bring on those Michelin Stars, we say.
