Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid Is Getting A Local Switch Release This August

A demo will be made available later this month.

At this year’s Anime Expo, Spike Chunsoft announced Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid for the Nintendo Switch will be coming to North America and Europe next month on 6th August 2024. It is developed by TOYBOX Inc. and Millennium Kitchen Co.,Ltd.

This follows the game’s Japanese release on the Switch in July last year. The local release will be released “exclusively” as a digital download for the Switch eShop, with a demo also set to be made available on 30th July 2024.

Zenless Zone Zero Producer Reportedly Open To Switch Successor Release

Switch fans are still waiting for Genshin Impact.

Earlier this week, the developer of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail released its new free-to-play gacha action RPG Zenless Zone Zero on the PlayStation 5 and mobile devices. The producer of the series Zhenyu Li was asked by Famtisu recently about the chances of a Nintendo release.

Here’s a translation from Nintendo Everything, which reportedly suggests he’s open to a Switch “successor” release, and also highlights how he’s a “personal fan of Nintendo”:

Round Up: Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2024 – Every Switch Game Featured

SAO, Dragon Ball, One Piece and much more.

Alongside Anime Expo 2024 this week, Bandai Namco hosted its ‘Summer Showcase’ for 2024. The main show and pre-show were packed with all sorts of anime-related announcements, and many of the games featured are coming to the Switch.

While the majority of games and release dates have already been confirmed for the Switch (and many titles are already out), there were still some new announcements including a DLC reveal for Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream and some Pac-Man content for Gundam Breaker 4. This round up is also a great way to see what updates are currently being rolled out for Bandai Namco’s existing releases.

Gundam Breaker 4 X Pac-Man Collaboration Announced

Open network test takes place this month.

Bandai Namco is bringing together Gundam Breaker 4 and the Pac-Man series in the ultimate collaboration later this month.

Between 18th July – 20th July 2024, Gundam Breaker 4 will host a special “open network test” featuring a special Pac-Man level filled with appropriately-themed Pac-Man content including ghosts and more. There’ll also be some unlockable decals.

Beyond Good & Evil Switch Collector’s Edition Revealed, Pre-Orders Open Next Week

Following last month’s eShop release.

Towards the end of last month, Limited Run Games revealed Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition would be getting a physical release on 12th July 2024. It’s now shared a first look at the standard edition of the game along with a special Collector’s Edition.

The standard edition is priced at $34.99 USD and will come with a copy of the game. Pre-orders will be open until 11th August 2024 and the game is estimated to ship between “Dec 1 – 31”.

Coming ‘early 2025’.

NIS America has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II will be making its way to the Switch in ‘early 2025’.

The news comes as the first instalment launches, at the time of writing… today! Crikey, NIS doesn’t hang about, does it? It’s part of the much larger ‘Trails’ franchise which started in 2004 with Trails in the Sky for the PC, and comes after an initial Japanese launch on PS4 and PS5 in 2022.

Beyond Good & Evil On Switch Contains Tribute To Sequel’s Creative Director

Emile Morel sadly passed away in 2023.

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition launched on 25th June 2024, boasting revamped visuals and bonus content that resulted in an experience that’s, in our opinion, well worth checking out.

It turns out, however, that the game also includes a rather thoughtful tribute to Emile Morel, the creative director of Beyond Good & Evil 2 who sadly passed away in 2023.
