Atelier Marie Remake Adds English Subtitles To Atelier Marie Plus

Launching on Switch this July.

The Atelier series has grown in popularity here in the west in recent years, and now to top off the upcoming release of Atelier Ryza 3 later this month, Koei Tecmo will also be launching a remake of Atelier Marie on Switch this July.

If the return of the original 1997 game wasn’t already exciting enough, it’s now been revealed the bonus game Atelier Marie Plus (included with the Digital Deluxe Edition) will feature full English subtitles. This game was originally exclusive to Japan, so this translation will make it even more accessible.

Random: Rare Pikachu Trading Card Auctioned For $480K Gets Zero Bids

Pokémon Trading Cards are as popular as ever – with original holographic Charizards often going for huge sums of money nowadays. It seems this isn’t necessarily the case with every Pokémon card sale though.

A recent eBay auction featuring a holographic Illustrator Pikachu in “near-perfect condition” has apparently attracted “zero” interest. This special Japanese promotional card released in 1998 had a PSA 8 grading with the seller – “passionate Pokémon fan” Tomoya Ohno – asking for a starting bid of $480,000 USD. One of these same cards sold for $900,000 last year.

The Mageseeker, A Gorgeous Pixel Art Action RPG In The League Of Legends World, Out April

Update : After last month’s teaser, Riot Forge and Digital Sun have announced that The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story will be launching on Switch pretty darn soon, on 18th April 2023 (via Gematsu).

The game will be available on the Switch eShop for $29.99USD / £24.99, or you can shell out $39.99USD for the Digital Deluxe edition. Fans will also be able to bag a Collector’s Edition for $169.99USD which includes a statue, a unique comic, an art book, an art print, enamel pins, and an exclusive vinyl version of the soundtrack.

Switch Rating For Hyper Light Drifter Devs’ Stunning ‘Solar Ash’ Appears Online

A heart breaker?

A brand new rating for a Switch version Solar Ash, developer Heart Machine’s second game following the gorgeous and brutal Hyper Light Drifter, has been spotted on the official PEGI database (via Nintendo Everything).

The rating lists the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions, plus a newly dated Switch version with a 7th March, 2023 date. The PS4 and 5 dates (2nd December, 2022) match up with the original game’s launch on those consoles — Steam and Xbox followed suit in 2022 — so does that mean a surprise is imminent from Heart Machine or publisher Annapurna?

Lunark Brings Gorgeous Flashback-Inspired Cinematic Platforming To Switch This Month

A lunar leap.

WayForward is bringing Lunark to Switch on 30th March, and in anticipation of this retro-style cinematic platformer’s release, the publisher has shared a video from the game’s creator — Johan Vinet, head of developer Canari Games — showcasing the inspirations behind what looks to be a delightful throwback.

Vinet details his love of old platforms like the Game Boy and the Game Gear, and how his passion for creating handheld pixel art demake mock-ups on social media lead to inspiration. His Game Gear/Game Boy mock-up of classic cinematic platformer Flashback was just the spark he needed.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 1.2.0 Bug Supposedly Corrupting Save Files

Some players have lost everything.

Last week, a new update was rolled out for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, bumping both games up to Version 1.2.0.

It added a number of new features, made some adjustments, and also included a lengthy list of bug fixes. Unfortunately, it seems to have introduced a major glitch. As highlighted by Kotaku, Scarlet and Violet players are now losing their saves.

New Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi Game Announced By Bandai Namco

“Still in the early stages of development”.

If you’ve been wondering what’s next for the Dragon Ball fighting series now that FighterZ is winding down – here it is! At the recent ‘Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023’ event, Bandai Namco teased a new Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi game.

In the trailer, you can see Goku is in his Super Saiyan Blue form, which means there could be a lot of content in there related to the Dragon Ball Super series. After the teaser was shown, a bit more information was provided by the host – revealing this new title was still in the “early stages of development”. No platforms have been announced at this point in time.
