It’s hard to believe, but we’re now just weeks out from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom arriving on the Switch.

Nintendo has been busy airing special trailer presentations in the lead up to this anticipated Switch release, and now it’s seemingly moved onto the marketing side of things – uploading three new commercials to its Japanese YouTube channel.

Random: Fan Collects Over 1 Thousand Copies Of The Original Dragon Quest

Technically ‘Dragon Warrior’.

One person’s quest (get it?) to accumulate a ‘Mega Collection’ of NES games has finally been achieved. FerrisonNA — who also goes by the username Ferris Bueller — is the proud owner of one thousand copies of the original Dragon Quest on the NES. Or, Dragon Warrior as it was known in the west back in 1989.

FerrisonNA (real name Christian Deitering) has been chronicling his journey to collect a huge number of copies of the NES RPG over on his website, The Unorthodox Dragon Warrior Collection. And a new update made earlier today (and shared on Twitter) revealed that the collector — who was the producer of the Mother To Earth: The Untold Story of Earth Bound documentary — has finally hit a milestone of one thousand copies.

Now that Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster is out on Switch, it means that 11 of the 15 (soon to be 16) mainline games are now available on Nintendo’s hybrid console, some of them in multiple forms. That’s mad.

Given the sheer breadth of the franchise’s history since the release of the first game back in 1987, we imagine there are quite a few jumping-off points for fans. After all, the beauty of Final Fantasy is that, beyond a few choice recurrences here and there, each mainline game is its own beast; a contained story that requires little to no knowledge of the other games.

Aurum Dust’s follow up to 2020’s Ash of Gods: Redemption is plotting course for a Switch eShop release next week, on 27th April 2023 for $24.99 / €24.99 / £20.99.

Ash of Gods: The Way isn’t necessarily a sequel to its predecessor, but it is set in the same world, many years after the events of Redemption. The same tactical deck-building combat is back, and every choice you make will influence the story.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Version 1.3.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have released Version 1.3.0 of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. It addresses some it includes bug fixes, feature adjustments, and various other changes.

Perhaps most notable is the fix for trainers who caught an egg instead of Walking Wake or Iron Leaves in a recent Tera Battle (before updating to Version 1.2.0). There are also a number of fixes linked to Zoroark in battles, and there’s been a fix for Pokémon GO connectivity.

After a couple of lengthy delays, we are finally on the home straight for the return of Nintendo’s tiny tactics series as Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp rolls onto Switch on 21st April.

While the next few days might feel like a long stretch for those who have been eagerly anticipating the game since its original late 2021 release date, we can at least check out what the critics had to say, and see whether it was worth the wait.

Cult Of The Lamb Free ‘Relics Of The Old Faith’ DLC Will Rise On Switch Next Week

Cult of the Lamb‘s first free update of 2023 is landing next week on 24th April. Called Relics of the Old Faith, tons of new features will be introduced to the bloodthirsty roguelike.

Challenge is the name of the game here in Relics of the Old Faith, with a new Boss Rush mode and a permadeath mode to help get you acquainted with the taste of death. But new relics, such as ones that help you freeze time or gamble all or nothing for a strong attack (or bad results), and new attacks mean that you’ll have plenty at your woolly arsenal.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Is Looking Slick In New Gameplay Trailer

Dungeon-crawling collection launches June 2023.

Publisher Atlus has revealed a brand new trailer for its upcoming Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection on Nintendo Switch, which launches later this year on June 1st, 2023.

The trailer dives into a heap of dungeon-crawling gameplay from all three titles and also shows off a bunch of “party customization, mapmaking, battles, exploration and more”.
