Random: Zelda: TOTK Players Are Tackling The Final Boss With Creative Ultrahand Solutions

What a way to go.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been out for two whole months now, and it seems that every day more and more people are completing the game’s main story quest and getting back to the larger job at hand — which is still torturing Koroks, apparently.

However, some have not been content to finish the game in quite so conventional a way, and have been going back to the final boss to take it on with much more, shall we say, creative methods (thanks, Kotaku). These range from the extremely clever to the downright ridiculous, so we thought that it would be only right to share some of our favourites with you.

Feature: That Time Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Made Mario Bros. Go Full Inception

Pi’illo fight.

The worlds of Mario and Christopher Nolan rarely overlap, and for good reason. Cillian Murphy may make an excellent Oppenheimer, but he’d be a painfully miscast Professor E. Gadd. Yet somehow, ten years ago, that didn’t stand in the way of AlphaDream adding a strong vibe reminiscent of Leonardo DiCaprio’s dream heist in Inception to Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

Nippon Ichi’s 30th Anniversary Website Teases Three Unannounced New Games

Could it be a Disgaea in disguise?

Developer Nippon Ichi is today celebrating 30 years in the industry and it has set up a special anniversary website to mark the occasion.

The site contains a boatload of neat information covering the company’s history and a special message from President Tetsuhisa Seko, but the part that has caught our eye is the ‘Anniversary Titles’ section, which teases three currently-unannounced games.

A fantasy throwback.

Review: Oxenfree II: Lost Signals – Even Better Than The Essential Original

Tuned to perfection?

Playing through Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will feel instantly familiar to anyone who’s experienced the original. Developer Night School Studio hasn’t gone out of its way here to create anything wildly different to its debut title, but has wisely opted to implement everything it’s learned over the past seven years or so to create a game that feels much better paced with a smaller, more focused cast of characters.

Taking place five years after the original, Oxenfree II focuses on Riley Poverly as she returns to the coastal town of Camena (with the original Edward’s Island visible in the distance) to investigate interferences with radio signals throughout the environment. There, she meets up with Jacob Summers, an old acquaintance who becomes her partner over the course of the five-six hour campaign.

Call Of Duty On Switch Is Back On After Microsoft Wins FTC Court Case

Will the CMA follow suit in the Activision Blizzard buyout brawl?

After five days of providing evidence, a California judge has today denied the Federal Trade Commission’s request for a preliminary injunction against Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In short, the deal can now go ahead in the US.

We’re not across the finish line just yet — the deal is still blocked in the UK, remember — but today’s result means that Microsoft can get the ball rolling on the takeover in the US and start to make good on the legally-binding commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles.

Video: These Replacement Joy-Con Sticks Fix Drift Issues, But How Do They Feel In Practice?

More Con, less Joy.

The Switch Joy-Con is a clever bit of kit. You can clip it into your console and play on the go, take it out and wave it around to mimic bowling, sword swinging or fishing, or slot it into a grip and get an experience closer to a standard controller. Though there is one small issue that has constantly brought them down in our estimation: the dreaded Joy-Con drift.

Fortunately, there are solutions to this problem. We have previously covered ways that you can tackle drift yourself with some simple DIY methods, and there are even special controllers out there now which remove the problem altogether. Then there are the ‘Hall Joysticks’ from Gulikit — a stick replacement that we were lucky enough to recently try out.
