Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Version 2.4.0) Character & Vehicle Performance Balance Changes Revealed

Here’s what’s been updated.

Earlier this week, Nintendo launched the Wave 5 DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch. The patch notes referenced “improved performance of some characters and vehicle customizations” and it’s now been revealed what has specifically been adjusted.

This is all thanks to the Japanese website Mario Kart Blog (via Meester_Tweester on the Mario Kart subreddit). This includes increases to certain characters mini-turbo, and all sorts of other increases and decreases to other racer stats.

Random: Nintendo’s Pikmin Short Movies Are Still Blooming Marvellous Nearly 10 Years On

To me, that’s Olimar.

The year was 2014 and Nintendo was in one of the worst financial pickles that the company had ever seen thanks to the poor sales of the Wii U. You might think that this was no time for joviality, but this is Nintendo that we are talking about, and Miyamoto had other ideas.

Taking his favourite child, Pikmin, the legendary game designer announced that he was working on a series of short films that would help to promote the series’ third entry, Pikmin 3, which had released the year prior. It was a move that wouldn’t have made it onto many-a Nintendo fan’s bingo card, but the results were, to put it simply, wonderful.

Anniversary: Nintendo Famicom, The NES’ Japanese Sibling, Is 40 Years Old

History was made.

Video games would not be where they would be today without this little white and red unit.

Will there be a Sonic Origins Plus Plus or has Sega just given up on the Master System completely?

Determined to keep the memory of the console alive and well, the wonderful Alex-from-Nintendo-Life-here has made a video in which he runs through his childhood playtime on the console and the eight (yes, eight) games that informed it.
