Rumour: Switch 2 Game Cases Might Take Up More Space On Your Shelf

Here’s how they could compare to the current Switch cases.

We don’t have a release date for the Switch 2 and we also don’t know what its game cartridges will look like just yet, but it seems we might already have “leaked proportions” of the new system’s physical game cases.

French retailer ‘Fnac’ has reportedly shared the dimensions of the Switch 2’s plastic game packaging, with the new case design said to be 13cm wide and around 19.5cm in length (via ‘Necro’ Felipe Lima of Universo Nintendo):

‘Techno Banter’ Is A First-Person Bouncer Simulator All About Keeping The Party Going

Allowed access to Club Switch today.

Those who enjoy a little slice of weirdness in their gaming might want to keep an eye on this one. Publisher Crunching Koalas and developer Dexai Arts have today released the first-person bouncer simulator Techno Banter on the Switch eShop and it looks… strange.

This is a game all about deciding which party guests get into a club and which are told to take a hike. It’s a similar concept to what we’ve seen in the likes of Papers, Please and Lil’ Guardsman, but Techno Banter mixes things up with, you guessed it, banter. You’ll have to use your wit to hit any unruly potential guests with clever comebacks, keeping the party vibing and keeping the line in check.

Japan’s Switch eShop Will Soon No Longer Accept Overseas Payment Methods

Change will come into effect in March.

Nintendo has announced that the Japanese Switch eShop will soon no longer accept overseas credit cards or PayPal accounts as valid payment methods.

As reported by VGC, the change will come into effect from 25th March 2025, with Nintendo citing “fraudulent use” as a main contributing factor behind the decision. It has not elaborated beyond this, but it’s well-known at this point that many overseas Switch owners like to utilise the Japanese eShop for games that either aren’t available elsewhere, or perhaps might be cheaper than their regional equivalent.
