Mortal Kombat 1 Poll Reveals Cross-play As Most Requested Online Feature

Also known as ‘kross-play’.

Mortal Kombat 1 didn’t have the best start on the Nintendo Switch, but it’s slowly improved over time with some patches fixing up all areas of the game.

It seems Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon also wants to enhance the game’s online mode, with the industry veteran recently sharing a poll on social media asking fans what online features they would “like to see the most” and before anything else.

F2P eShop Title ‘Omega Strikers’ Ends Development Just Months After Launch

“It hurts us to have to let you down”.

Just months after arriving on the Switch eShop and other platforms, the free-to-play online “footbrawler” Omega Strikers will be wrapping up development after it ships its next update. The team at Odyssey Interactive is making this tough decision in order to guarantee the future of the studio.

In a video update, Odyssey mentions how servers and matchmaking for the title will stay online, and balance updates will continue to be released in the foreseeable future. The custom games tool will also be polished up, but beyond this, there won’t be any new strikers, passes, skins or maps.

The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark Scores A Switch Physical Release

Super Rare Games, Spooky Doorway, and Akupara Games have announced that they are collaborating to launch a physical version of The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark on Nintendo Switch.

Limited to 3000 copies, the game will go on sale via the Super Rare Games website on November 9th at 6pm GMT / 11am PDT / 2pm EDT with shipping estimated to commence in January 2024.

Yes, the toys-to-life craze may have been a fad in the mid-2010s, and Nintendo’s line of NFC figures (and cards) was essentially an experimental side project as the firm sought to diversify and distract while regrouping during The Lean Wii U Years™, but amiibo, somehow, are still going in 2023.
