Monster Hunter Series Producer Shares New Year’s Message Ahead Of 20th Anniversary

Fan-favourite monster results arriving in March.

Capcom has been gearing up for the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter for a while now and today’s New Year’s video message from series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto gives some indication of what’s in store for 2024.

To be clear, the message is not packed with information on anniversary plans, though Tsujimoto does confirm that the results of the fan-favourite monster voting will be revealed to mark the occasion this March. We can expect to see a new piece of artwork featuring the three most popular monsters too.

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Nominated For Another ‘Game Of The Year’ Award

Winners to be revealed at the New York Game Awards.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received a lot of nominations last year, and now to top it off it’s been nominated for another ‘Game of the Year’ award, this time by the New York Videogame Critics Circle.

The main event will take place on 23rd January 2024 where the winners of the 2024 New York Game Awards will be announced. Apart from a ‘Game of the Year’ nomination, Tears of the Kingdom has also been nominated for “best music” and “best kids game”.

Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Switch Frame Rate, Resolution & Accessibility Revealed

“Accessible design is good design”.

One of the first major releases this year is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the first brand-new console game in the series since 2010’s The Forgotten Sands (yes, really!). And recently, developer Ubisoft has unveiled the upcoming release’s frame rate, resolution and accessibility options on Switch.

And it’s good news for Switch owners for this upcoming Metroidvania-style take on the legendary franchise. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will run at 60fps on the Switch, both handheld and docked. This was stated by The Game Awards’ host Geoff Keighley way back in the summer of 2023, but it’s good to get the official word. Handheld, the resolution will be at 720p while docked it’ll be 1080p — standard stuff, then.

Nintendo Hacker Gary Bowser Says He’s “Not Involved” With New Switch Flash Cart

Plot twist!

A new flash cart marketed as “the only back-up and development device” for all Switch consoles was recently teased and in a surprise plot twist, it’s now led to the infamous Nintendo hacker Gary Bowser denying his involvement with the project.

The former Team-Xecuter member, who was previously jailed and fined $10 million in damages, rejected these latest allegations doing the rounds online, claiming he’s “not involved” with this new device known as ‘MIG Switch’.
