Remember the Capcom and SNK-inspired 2D-pixel fighter Blazing Strike? It was originally revealed for the Switch and multiple other platforms in 2021.

Now, in an update on the ‘All Aksys’ Twitch channel earlier before, it’s been confirmed this title will be arriving in “Summer 2024“. There’s a new character trailer to go with this announcement, which you can check out above.

Falcom Action RPG ‘Tokyo Xanadu eX+’ Is Coming To Switch

Coming in June.

Aksys Games is bringing Falcom’s action RPG Tokyo Xanadu eX+ to Switch in June 2024. The publisher announced this during today’s All Aksys event, which was streamed on Twitch.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is an enhanced version of the PS Vita RPG Tokyo Xanadu, which was released back in 2015. Taking place in an alternate reality of Tokyo, which was hit by an earthquake in 2005, the city has only just recovered from the devastation. However, things aren’t as calm as they seem, as high school student Kou Tokisaka soon discovers. Kou is sucked into another world called ‘Eclipse’ and he eventually teams up with classmate Asuka Hiiragi to seal the eclipse vortexes.

Monolith Soft Is Looking For Programmer With “3D Action Game Experience”

Hints at the next project?

Monolith Soft has recently updated its recruitment page, and it appears that the Xenoblade series developer is looking for someone with experience in 3D action games.

As spotted by My Nintendo News, the Nintendo subsidiary is looking for an “application programmer” to join the team. Using Google Translate, we can see that the successful candidate will be “in charge of designing and developing various programs for 3D action games”, looking at things such as character control, enemy AI behaviour, scene progression, and all sorts of design elements.

A game as massive as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was always going to have a couple of bugs just waiting to be found by the glitch hunters out there. Since its launch, we have seen players discover ways of getting infinite items, fire immunity, even one-hit weapons, but none have felt quite as personal as this — skipping the game’s introductory area.

Let’s not forget, Breath of the Wild‘s Great Plateau was such a sticking point for the glitching community back in the day, with the possibility of skipping it becoming the holy grail of all discoveries. The answer is still yet to be found, so it’s natural that certain players would take to the TOTK equivalent, The Great Sky Islands, with the same level of skippable optimism.

Random: Handheld Specialist Creates Prototype ‘Switch Lite OLED’ Mod

Poor Switch Lite. Although Nintendo’s smaller, budget-friendly handheld certainly has its audience, there’s no doubt in our mind that it pales in comparison to the Switch – OLED Model thanks to the latter’s far superior screen.

This could well be a thing of the past, though, as YouTuber and handheld specialist Taki Udon has created a prototype mod that replaces the standard LCD screen in the Switch Lite with an OLED screen. What’s more, Udon has stated that the mod shouldn’t cost too much to implement, with prices ranging from $25-$50 based on overall interest.

If you’ve been waiting for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games for Switch to go on sale, now might be the time to scoop them up.

Sonic Superstars Celebrates ‘Sonic X Shadow Generations’ With Free Shadow Costume

Available later this month.

Earlier before during Sony’s ‘State of Play’ livestream, Sega announced Sonic X Shadow Generations, a remaster of Sonic Generations featuring a brand-new Shadow story campaign.

To celebrate this announcement, Sega is also giving away a free item in its latest release Sonic Superstars. From 15th February 2024, players will be able to get hold of the Shadow Costume. This will be entirely free for all players and can be equipped in the game’s Story Mode.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Is Speeding Onto Switch Autumn 2024

SEGA has announced that Sonic X Shadow Generations will be heading to Nintendo Switch in Autumn 2024.

The game will feature a full remaster of the original 2011 Sonic Generations along with a brand-new campaign featuring Shadow the Hedgehog. Sorry, no guns here though. Sonic Generations features 2.5D levels in the style of the original games while also incorporating 3D levels popularised by Sonic Adventure.
