Square Enix’s stuffed slate of releases over the past year has given us some stellar titles, but among some of their biggest releases, this year’s Paranormasight: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo should not be overlooked.

Revealed during a Japanese Nintendo Direct in February and then launching just a moth later, this horror visual novel sees you unravelling the mysteries of the real-life urban legends known as The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, (or, sometimes, The Seven Wonders of Honjo). These Mysteries serve as tourist attractions in the Sumida Ward (formerly known as Honjo) of Tokyo, representative of ghost stories that have been passed down over generations since the Edo Period. Many of these stories aren’t set in stone and have had multiple interpretations over the years.

We took a look at Professor Layton and the Curious Village for the DS and, holy moly, it was actually a rather close call. North America won out with 48% of the vote, with Europe just missing out with 41%. Finally, Japan wasn’t quite able to win the hearts of our voters and pulled in just 11% of the vote.

Former Rare Director Joel Hochberg Has Passed Away

“Joel changed the course of history”.

We’ve got some sad news on the industry front – with a Miami Herald obituary confirming the former Rare director Joel Hochberg passed away earlier this week, aged 87. Joel lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family.

As highlighted by GamesIndustry.biz, he signed on with the Ultimate Play the Game and Rare founders Tim & Chris Stamper in 1986, overseeing the company’s business operations within the US, with a division based out of Miami, Florida. During this time he also held a position as the president of Rare’s coin machine company Rare Coin-It Inc.

I cannot recommend this TV enough at this price. It’s the exact price I paid for when I got mine a couple years back, and mine is an older model. It’s a great TV for a great price, and if you want good 4K picture with Roku functionality, this is the choice to make. Now go get lost on the streets of Roku City.
