The PlayStation Store has revealed the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 to include the original Metal Gear 1 and 2 alongside the Solid Trilogy as previously announced.
As reported by Eurogamer, the previously teased additional games coming to the Master Collection Vol. 1 look to be the two classic titles released for the MSX2.
The PlayStation Store listing has let the cat out of the bag, however, saying the “Volume 1 line-up features the original titles and beginning of the Metal Gear Series” including Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
This essentially makes the package a modern console version of the Metal Gear HD Collection released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though Konami will likely soon confirm the full extent of its contents ahead of its launch this fall.
Update : After dropping part one last week, PlatinumGames has today released the second section of its stretch goal DLC for The Wonderful 101: Remastered titled, ‘The Wonderful One: After School Hero’.
The latest expansion carries the same side-scrolling gameplay as its predecessor (which still directly contrasts what we would expect to see from The Wonderful 101), continuing Luka’s story as he strives to become a fully-fledged superhero. Just like part one, this expansion is also completely free.
Return to Waford and find key One Piece historical events twisted in Reunion of Memories, a new piece of DLC for One Piece Odyssey. After completing the main plot, the mysterious black cube will cause you to wander into the world of altered memories where you’ll encounter old friends and new enemies. But beware, this twisted Memoria has turned some of Luffy’s greatest comrades against him. This time around, Luffy will have to do battle against, Sabo and Law, to unravel the final mystery of Waford.
**Be warned, fellow pirate. Minor spoilers ahead**
Revolutionary Army Chief of Staff
In the new alternative timeline of Dressrosa, Luffy will encounter his sworn brother, Revolutionary Army Chief of Staff Sabo, again. But this time, Sabo will not be coming to Luffy’s defence like he did against Burgess in the main story. Instead, Sabo will stand between the Straw Hats and their escape from Memoria. The enemies are tougher in the DLC, and the Straw Hats will need to consider when to open offense or focus on defence to survive Sabo’s attacks.
Sabo has turned against his brother through the power of the mysterious black cube. Possessing the power of Flame-Flame Fruit, many of Sabo’s attacks will set the Straw Hats aflame with the Burn status ailment. In conjunction with his “Flame Dragon King” attack, Sabo will be able to quickly burn down a crew member if they aren’t prepared for his fiery attacks.
Fortunately, the Straw Hats can prepare for these fiery attacks by fine-tuning their accessories for fire resistance and gain an advantage against Sabo. But beware, If the Straw Hats can overcome the flames and do enough damage to Sabo, he will summon the mysterious black cube to replenish his health, enhance his power, and perform his strongest area of effect flame attack. The cube will linger for one full turn before releasing its power.
But for the Straw Hats, this is the moment to strike! The black cube is finally vulnerable and the key to overcoming Sabo. Destroy the cube by exploiting its weak points with Speed type and Freeze elem based attacks. If successful, Sabo will become weakened, and the Straw Hats will have a clear avenue to victory. After defeating Sabo, they’ll be free to move on to meet Law.
Trafalgar Law
In this new Dressrosa, Law does not meet defeat against the tyrant Doflamingo. Instead, he single-handedly defeats him where, in the original story, it takes the combined might of the Straw Hats. Considering the strength of the tyrant, the Straw Hats quickly ascertain that Law has also fallen victim to the black cube. Empowered by the black cube, Law gains a new attack that that he does not use in the main story.
Takt, a powerful area of effect ability, will summon stone spikes from the earth to damage all Straw Hats on the field, potentially wiping the party out in the blink of the eye if they’re unprepared.
Like Sabo, if the Straw Hats can survive Law’s powerful attacks and cause enough damage, he’ll be forced to lean on the black cube to gather more strength. The Straw Hats will need to strike down the black cube within 2 turns by exploiting its weak point with Technique type or Lightning element-based attacks, otherwise Law will become even more powerful.
Reunion of Memories will lead you into the abyss of Waford where the Straw Hats will be challenged by even their friends. In addition, encounters with memorable fierce characters such as Eneru, Mihawk, Perona, and Whitebeard, who you never met in the main story, await you!
Help Luffy and the Straw Hats through the dangers of Memoria and navigate their way to another truth hidden in Waford today on Xbox Series X|S.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet support is finally being added to Pokémon Home on May 30 after Nintendo announced and then cancelled the update last week.
As reported by Serebii, Pokémon Home will go down ahead of the update as it undergoes maintenance, meaning players won’t be able to access the service from 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern on May 29 for six hours.
Though players on the west coast of the U.S. will therefore be able to access Version 3.0 of Pokémon Home at 11pm on May 29, most players around the world will have access to the updated app on May 30. East coast players can access the update at 2am, UK players at 7am, and AEST players at 4pm.
Version 3.0 will allow players to move Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet into Home and vice versa, finally adding the long-awaited feature to the latest pocket monster adventure six months after launch.
This was a major factor in our 6/10 review, as IGN said: “The open-world gameplay of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a brilliant direction for the future of the franchise, but this promising shift is sabotaged by the numerous ways in which Scarlet and Violet feel deeply unfinished.”

THQ Nordic has announced that the Alone in the Dark reboot is launching October 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC and that a free demo is available now.
Users on these platforms can download the playable prologue of Alone in the Dark to experience what the full game will have to offer without receiving any spoilers from the main story. The standalone demo puts players in the shoes of 11-year-old Grace Saunders as she runs an errand that quickly goes wrong.
The publisher also revealed that Stranger Things’ David Harbour will star as one dual-protagonist Edward Carnby while Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer will play the other, Emily Hartwood.
Players can choose to play through the story as either character, though THQ Nordic promises that each character will provide a different take on the same narrative.
“Explore Derceto Manor in this reimagination of Alone in the Dark, a love letter to the 90’s cult classic horror game,” reads the announcement. “Set in the gothic American south in the 1920s, Alone in the Dark features a noir-setting with classical Lovecraftian horror-elements, where the familiar meets the surreal.”
First announced in August 2022, THQ Nordic has gone relatively quiet on Alone in the Dark since, only re-emerging now to announce the release date and prologue. In our first preview of the game, IGN said “the team and motivation seem right to deliver an exciting take on a classic of horror gaming.”

RTS threequel Homeworld 3 has been delayed to February 2024, flying away from its previous “first half of 2023” release window. The developers say they need more time to live up to the series’ standards, presumably with more epic spacefleet shootouts. For those missing the series’ galactic megastructures, the devs have promised to share their biggest “progress update” yet later this summer. Possibly at one of this year’s NotE3 showcases.
Do you love Pokémon music as much as us? Yeah? Well good, because a special Pokémon-themed concert will be held in Japan on August 10th, 2023 by the NHK Symphony Special Orchestra (thanks, Serebii).
Taking place at the Pacifico in Yokohama, Japan, tickets will be priced at 3,000 JPY with all proceeds going to the Pokémon With You charity organisation, which works to provide disaster relief activities for children. Obviously, most of our readers won’t be in Japan and will be unable to attend, but the good news is that the concert will also be livestreamed on YouTube.
Survival horror reboot Alone In The Dark is coming out on October 25th, publisher THQ announced last night. This new game reimagines the haunted Derceto Manor from the 1992 original, this time with a fancier coat of paint, a third-person camera view, and some famous faces. And if you’d like an early teaser of what’s in store, there’s a free prologue chapter available now, letting you explore a slice of the Southern Gothic mansion.
