Tears of the Kingdom Players Have Already Found Another Duplication Glitch

Tears of the Kingdom players have unearthed yet another infinite duplication glitch just days after Nintendo dropped a patch which removed a number of existing exploits from the game.

As spotted by Games Radar, videos of new new glitch – including this one from YouTuber Kibbles Gaming – began appearing online earlier this week, giving players a new way to infinitely duplicate fused weapons.

With the weapon equipped, players should open the inventory and save the game, then hold the right bumper to prepare a throw, and without letting go, open the map. After this navigate to your adventure log and watch any memory four times in a row. Finally, press the plus button and load the previous save to find the duplicated item lying on the ground.

“I will never understand how anyone has this much time to figure things out like this…but I could never thank then enough either,” replied one viewer. “Honestly, if Nintendo had just removed the degradation system, then all this duplication nonsense wouldn’t even be necessary,” commented another.

According to Kibbles Gaming, the glitch may exist because viewing a memory advances the game by a single frame each time. So watching four memories progresses the game four frames, thus giving Link the time to throw the weapon while tricking the game into thinking that you haven’t.

However, some exploit enthusiasts were less impressed with the newfound glitch. “I shouldn’t have updated my game. The other glitch was way easier,” commented one viewer, echoing the sentiments of other exploit enthusiasts who lamented the golden days of the pre-patch era. Others complained that they couldn’t get the glitch to work for them altogether, or that it wouldn’t work for materials.

Nintendo And Critical Role Combine Zelda: TOTK With Tabletop RPG In New ‘One-Shot’ Special

Featuring Ganondorf VA, Matt Mercer.

The open-world fantasy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would lend itself nicely to some tabletop RPG action in the real world, wouldn’t you say? With this exact combination in mind, Nintendo has teamed up with tabletop YouTube channel-turned-multiplatform entertainment company Critical Role to create a special one-shot story set in Tears of the Kingdom’s Hyrule.

The special features an original story scenario and characters, all drawn from Tears of the Kingdom’s world, with none other than Ganondorf voice actor Matt Mercer as game master. It aired yesterday on the Critical Role Twitch and YouTube channels, but have no fear if you missed out because the full video will be available to watch from 1st June at 12pm PT / 8pm BST on YouTube.

Retro RPGs meet the world of pro wrestling in WrestleQuest, releasing this August

The world of pro wrestling slams into an SNES-era RPG with WrestleQuest, which now has a release date of August 8th. Inspired by the older Final Fantasies and Dragon Questies, you’ll be engaging in turn-based brawls and running around in magical pixel realms. But unlike those games, you’ll climb the wrestling ladder from fresh-faced rookie to world champ – instead of the usual RPG trope where you go from a village’s rat-killer to the universe’s god-killer. Watch WrestleQuest’s latest trailer below:

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom New Item Duplication Glitches Discovered In Version 1.1.2

But they’re not quite as rewarding…

Nintendo has already released a number of patches for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to improve the overall experience and also stamp out some bugs.

Although item duplication glitches have been targeted in the latest update (Version 1.1.2), players are still uncovering new ones in this latest build. They’re admittedly not quite as easy or anywhere near as rewarding as the earlier ones in terms of how many duplicates get in return.

Critical Role is Doing a Special Tears of the Kingdom Tabletop One-Shot Tonight

Nintendo and Critical Role are teaming up for a special one-shot tabletop RPG stream set in the world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The special is set to air on Critical Role’s Twitch and YouTube channels, beginning tonight, May 30, at 7 p.m. PT. Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer — who is also the voice of Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom — will serve as game master for a cast starring Critical Role mainstays Liam O’Brien and Marisha Ray with Robbie Daymond, Emily Axford and Omar Najam also joining in.

Set in Hyrule, tonight’s game will present an original story scenario and original characters inspired by Tears of the Kingdom.

It’s rare to see Nintendo partner hand the keys to its franchises to outside organizations, but we’re starting to see more and more examples of it. The most obvious instances of this are Nintendo’s partnership with Universal for both Super Nintendo World and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, but there are other, smaller occurrences of this such as an official The Legend of Zelda escape room experience. Mercer’s connection to both Critical Role and Tears of the Kingdom was surely a factor in getting this one-shot tabletop RPG off the ground.

Working with Nintendo is another partnership to add to Critical Role’s growing list of accomplishments, which includes a multiyear exclusive deal with Amazon Studios for shows like The Legend of Vox Machina and the upcoming Mighty Nein animated adaptation.

Tears of the Kingdom is off to a roaring start, with 10 million copies sold in just its first three days. For help with everything Tears of the Kingdom, take a look at our Tears of the Kingdom Walkthrough and Guide about making your way through Hyrule. In fact, you can start here:
